Beautifying the interior at one of the industry’s leading ski resort companies.

Alterra Mountain Company (DBA Ikon Pass) is one of the industry’s leading ski resort companies. Owning mountains all around the globe, Altera also has some of Colorado’s most iconic mountains, such as Aspen, Steamboat, and Copper Mountain. Alterra has a mission to be disruptive—both in their industry and around the globe—and we chose to highlight that mission through this mural.

The majority of the final illustrated scene was a non-specific mountain, adorned by Columbines, the Colorado state flower. This was a nod to Alterra’s Colorado-hometown pride while simultaneously representing the entirety of their international mountain portfolio.

Inspired by the Hatch Print Show as well as package design from the early 1900’s, this piece was designed to feel both timeless and contemporary through use of its old-time influences executed with new-time craft.
